詩の出所判明。マザー・テレサ〈孤児の家〉

以前、ブログに載せた詩 "ANYWY"。
「バンコクでアマゾンへ一緒に行くべきだと元国連職員に誘われたが行かずに別れ際にもらった詩」
の、出所がわかりました

マザー・テレサが監修をされたという「マザー・テレサ 語る」を読んでいたところ、
その本の一番最後に載せられていました。



この詩は、ご本人が気に入られたので、〈家〉の一つである、
カルカッタ〈孤児の家〉の壁に書かれているものだそうです。

作者もわかりました。
1949年生まれのアメリカ人のケント・Ｍ・キース。
作詩時、大学生だったそうです。
口づて、ネットで世界に広がったそうです。

日本訳は、『それでもなお人を愛しなさい』

ANYWAY

People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.

Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.

Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies.

Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrrow.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.

Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.

Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you help them.
